Fantasy Basketball Daily was created to provide the most complete and up to date source of news for fantasy basketball fans. We strive to collect news on every NBA starter on a daily basis, along with daily and season rankings, handicapping picks, draft strategies, hot waiver wire pickups and sleepers, injury news and anything else that might benefit your fantasy team.
Our Site and Blog
We have purposely created a site that is minimal in design. We don't include useless polls, videos, photos or other distractions. Our purpose is to provide fantasy basketball information. If you want entertainment, try the big commercial sites, if you want useful fantasy information, stick with us.
Our Reporting
My name is Tippy and I will be doing most of the reporting and blog posting. I am a long time basketball fan and an avid fantasy player. I've been watching the NBA for so long that most of the players I watched as rookies are now NBA coaches (which makes me feel really old). I have a Law Degree from the University of Alabama and currently make a living as a currency trader. If you ever need to get in touch with me, you can shoot me an email through the contact page.
The Newsroom
The news that we provide comes from such places as the major sports sites, major city newspapers, individuals involved with the NBA and teams, other fantasy basketball sites and even from some places and people that you have never heard of. If the news story is not created or produced by us, you will always see a cite to the source of the news. All cite links are checked and are safe to follow.
The Daily Pick
As a serious basketball fan and trader, you know there is a streak in me that likes action. I have been handicapping the NBA for over 20 years and I provide my best picks for free each day. Most of the news you see on the site comes directly from my handicapping notes. The picks will be rated on a scale from one to three units and I always give my complete analysis of how and why I'm picking the game. At some point, we may provide a premium picks service if there is enough demand for it. I also play daily fantasy sports games, which are legal, and I will be posting my daily picks for those as well. (See the disclaimer on the picks page)
The Blog
The blog is where I get to post the fun stuff. I try and summarize the news a few times per day and offer advice on who to play for that night's games, waiver wire pickups, etc. I also try and throw in some fun stuff on the blog like rumors, NBA gossip and some links to NBA related pictures or videos. I'll even throw in an opinionated rant occasionally, but most of the time I try and stay on topic.
The Draft Board
We will be ranking almost every NBA starter on a daily basis. The rankings can help you choose who to start on your traditional roster or help you draft your team on a daily basis if you are playing daily cash fantasy games. The daily rankings are based on current form, matchups and health. We also provide season rankings and will update them on a weekly basis, as well as provide news describing why we are ranking them in a certain position.
