Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes for Tuesday, December 4

There were some big fantasy performances last night in a small six game NBA schedule, here’s a look at the fantasy highlights from Monday night:

Portland 118 @ Charlotte 112

LaMarcus Aldridge seems to be over his back issues, 25 points and 13 rebounds.
Nicolas Batum nearly put up a triple double, 17 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.  He’s averaging 3.2 assists per game this season, which is twice his career average.
JJ Hickson with a real disaster that killed me in my Fanduel and DraftStreet Daily Cash Games, 2 points and nothing else.
Damian Lillard 1 of 8 from three, but still 24 points and 9 assists.

Byron Mullens with a 12 point, 12 rebound double-double.
Kemba Walker plays much better at home than on the road, 22 points and 7 assists with 9 of 19 shooting.
Ben Gordon got hot with 29 points on 16 shots.
Gerald Henderson returned to action with 15 minutes.  Check your wire to see if he’s still out there.

Cleveland 79 @ Detroit 89

Anderson Varejao didn’t show any effects from his dislocated finger, 17 points and 18 rebounds, 7 of 18 shooting.
Dion Waiters missed the game with an ankle injury.  Omri Casspi got the start.
Alonzo Gee 2 of 10 shooting.
Daniel Gibson trying to return from his elbow problems, 1 of 6 shooting, 3 points.

Jason Maxiell 5 blocks.
Greg Monroe with just 9 points, but big in the other categories: 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
Brandon Knight 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.  He’s improving.
Andre Drummond should crack 25 minutes a night soon.  He got 20 minutes last night and put up 7 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks.  Those are pretty good per/36 numbers.

Milwaukee 81 @ New Orleans 102

Ekpe Udoh another start and 27 minutes, 7 points and 6 rebounds.
John Henson got the start, but didn’t do much, 2 points and 2 rebounds in 16 minutes.  If Ersan Ilyasova ever snaps out of his slump, Henson is probably going to be back on the bench.
Ersan Ilyasova, 2 points and 3 rebounds.  I’m holding him until Christmas.
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute looking good in his return, 7 points and 8 rebounds.  If you are desperate for rebounds, you could grab him off the wire.
Tobias Harris is a drop in redraft leagues with the return of Luc Richard.  Hang on to Harris in keeper leagues if you have a spare bench spot.

Robin Lopez 8 of 10 for 21 points.
Greivis Vasquez with 9 more assists.  He’s 5th in the league in that category.
Austin Rivers 0 for 5.  He’s a fantasy bust.

Toronto 110 @ Denver 113

Andrea Bargnani 10 of 20 for 23 points.  He seems to be over his injury problems, for now.
Kyle Lowry looking much better as he gets over his ankle problem, 24 points and 7 assists.  He somehow managed 3 blocks.
Mickael Pietrus got a start and 25 minutes and could be worth a look if you need help at SG.
Terrence Ross outplayed Pietrus with 12 points and 6 rebounds and has a strong hold on about 25 minutes a night.

Danilo Gallinari has been really inconsistent this season, 13 points on 4 of 10 shooting.
Kenneth Faried with a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Andre Iguodala with a dud, 4 points and 2 rebounds, but he did have 8 assists.  His passing is really hurting Ty Lawson’s asssist totals.
JaVale McGee 5 blocks.

LA Clippers 105 @ Utah 104

Blake Griffin had a big game, 30 points and 11 rebounds.
DeAndre Jordan only took 3 shot attempts, 3 points and 6 rebounds.
Chauncey Billups looking really rusty, 2 of 5 for 9 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. He’s still an add if he’s on your wire.
Willie Green with a DNP.   His run is over with the return of Billups.
Jamal Crawford 20 points, but it took him 19 shots.

Derrick Favors and Marvin Williams both missed Monday’s game.  DeMarre Carroll got the start and had 5 points and 6 rebounds.
Randy Foye 7 of 11 for 19 points.  3 of 7 from three and worth a waiver wire grab if you need points and threes.
Mo Williams is over his latest injury, 20 points and 12 assists in 37 minutes.

Orlando 102 @ Golden State 94

Glen Davis 10 0f 20 for 24 points.  He’s starting to get it going after a rough stretch.
Arron Afflalo 24 points on 16 shots.
Nikola Vucevic surging again, another double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Jameer Nelson is getting over his achilles issue, 7 points and 9 assists, but good to see him make it 33 minutes.
JJ Redick with a good game, 22 points on 13 shots, 4 of 6 from three.

David Lee another quietly good game, 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Stephen Curry heating up, 25 points and 11 assists.
Klay Thompson continues to struggle with his shooting, 3 of 12 for 8 points.
Jarrett Jack with a solid 29 minutes, 17 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.  He’s going to get more minutes if Thompson continues to slump.
