Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes for Tuesday, November 20

The big news from Monday night was that Kyrie Irving was diagnosed with a broken finger and will miss the next four weeks.  The Cavs are 2-8 and this injury definitely won’t help matters.  Desperate fantasy owners might want to give Jeremy Pargo and Donald Sloan a look, but neither has much upside.  The real gem in Cleveland might be Daniel Gibson, if the Cavs decide to give him a shot at PG.  Monday’s fantasy basketball highlights:

Indiana 96 @ Washington 89

David West had a huge game with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Roy Hibbert finally had a good matchup and took full advantage, 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Maybe he’s trying to snap out of his slump.
Sam Young took the lead in the small forward timeshare getting 35 minutes compared to just 17 for Gerald Green.  A few more games like this and it might be time to give him a look in deeper leagues.
Paul George had an off game, 6 points and 4 rebounds.
George Hill with a weak 2 of 11 shooting.

Emeka Okafor was a hot waiver wire pickup last week and may be a hot drop this week.  Just 1 point and 1 rebound in 9 minutes.
Jordan Crawford got another start and shot 2 for 12.  This kind of shooting was the exact reason they drafted Bradley Beal.  Look for Beal to be back in there soon if Crawford continues to shoot like this.
Kevin Seraphin started the second half of Monday’s game and could move into the starting lineup soon.  He’s worth a speculative add.

Milwaukee 98 @ Charlotte 102

Ersan Ilyasova had another horrible game going for 4 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes.  He’s in danger of being yanked from his starting spot and should be on your bench.
John Henson is a guy to watch if the Bucks get tired of Ilyasova.  He’s a rookie and definitely worth a pickup in keeper leagues.
Monta Ellis was the entire Bucks offense launching 28 shots and hitting 15 of them for 31 points.
Brandon Jennings shot a poor 5 of 18.

Byron Mullens played a team high 40 minutes with 19 points and 9 rebounds.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist posted 15 points, 9 rebounds and no fouls in 31 minutes.
Ben Gordon suffered some type of minor knee injury, check his next gametime status.  If he’s out, look for Ramon Sessions to get big minutes.

Orlando 72 @ Atlanta 81

E’Twaun Moore led the Magic with a team high 29 minutes played.
Jameer Nelson got the start at PG while playing with the flu and it showed, 8 points and 1 assist.
JJ Redick also tried to play while sick, 1 of 7 for 2 points.
Arron Afflalo suffered a minor ankle injury, check it before his next game.
Nikola Vucevic grabbed 13 rebounds.

Josh Smith with another disappointing game, 6 points and 2 rebounds.  Definitely try and get some buy low trade offers out there.
Devin Harris got the start at SG and went for 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.
Kyle Korver got the start at SF and went 2 for 11.
Zaza Pachulia with a solid 8 point, 11 rebound effort in 22 minutes.

Denver 97 @ Memphis 92

Danilo Gallinari is starting to heat up, 26 points on 15 shots.
Kenneth Faried with another double-double, 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Ty Lawson continues to slump but you have to be patient, 4 of 14 shooting.  He also had 5 turnovers with just 4 assists.
JaVale McGee inches closer to the starting lineup with 15 points and 8 rebounds in 18 minutes.

Zach Randolph with another double-double, 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Mike Conley was 3 of 6 from three, also added 8 assists.
Marc Gasol had an efficient 16 points on 7 shots, added 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Golden State 105 @ Dallas 101

Stephen Curry with a huge game, 31 points and 9 assists.  He had some ankle problems in overtime, so check his injury status for the next game.  Remember Jarrett Jack if Curry runs into serious ankle trouble.
Harrison Barnes looking good with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 8 of 16 shooting.
David Lee with a big double-double, 17 points and 19 rebounds.
Klay Thompson still struggling, 2 of 14 shooting.
Draymond Green with a nice game, 9 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals in 26 minutes.  Definitely worth a look in keeper leagues.
Carl Landry got just 17 minutes, which is exactly what makes him such a difficult daily fantasy play.

Elton Brand is a safe drop, just 14 minutes of action Monday.
Chris Kaman a big double-double, 18 points and 17 rebounds.
Troy Murphy was 4 of 6 from three.  Worth an add if you need threes.
Vince Carter suffered a hamstring injury and could miss some time.

LA Clippers 92 @ San Antonio 87

Chris Paul finally starting to get some shots, 16 attempts for 19 points.  8 assists.
Caron Butler suffered a shoulder injury and will miss some time.  Matt Barnes is a nice short term waiver wire addition, but be careful with him as he’s dealing with a finger injury.
Jamal Crawford with an off night shooting, 4 of 14.  He might be dealing with some type of minor back injury.

Tim Duncan is looking like an all-star, 20 points and 14 rebounds.  If you can sell the 36 year old Duncan high for a big haul, it might be a good idea to get out before he starts missing games to rest as the season progresses.
Stephen Jackson suffered a broken finger and will miss 4-6 weeks.
Danny Green 2 of 8 from three.  Green is an add, especially since he will have to pick up some extra minutes with Jackson out.
Kawhi Leonard should return soon, check your wire to make sure he wasn’t dropped, as he’ll play a ton with Stephen Jackson out.
Manu Ginobili 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Houston 91 @ Utah 102

Jeremy Lin went 5 of 15, 3 assists and 3 turnovers.
James Harden tried to play through an illness, but couldn’t get it going putting up 6 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
Omer Asik with his first bad game in awhile, 0 for 5 shooting with 7 rebounds.
Patrick Patterson led the Rockets with 19 points on 14 shots.

Derrick Favors got another start and went for 8 points and 8 rebounds.  He shot 2 for 7 and his offense still looks shaky.
Al Jefferson with a 14 point, 16 rebound double-double.
Rany Foye 4 of 7 from three.  He’s a good add if you need threes.
Gordan Hayward 15 points in 19 minutes.  Coming off the bench seems to be a good spot for him.
Jamaal Tinsley somehow picked up 11 assists in 21 minutes.
