Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes, January 4, 2013

Only two games on the NBA schedule for Thursday night, but tonight is loaded with 11 games for the big Friday night tournaments on FanDuel and DraftStreet.  Don’t forget about the Friday night $200,000 Qualifier over on FanDuel.  I’ll be posting some of my favorite picks for the tourney later today.

San Antonio 83 @ New York 100

Tim Duncan only 24 minutes, 11 points and 6 rebounds.  This one was a blowout and several of the Spurs got some rest.
Tony Parker 11 points and 6 assists.
Tiago Splitter 3 blocks.
Danny Green 2 of 6 from three.
Kawhi Leonard has been slow getting going in his return from injury, 1 of 5 from three for 7 points.
Manu Ginobili only 2 of 10 shooting for 8 points.
Stephen Jackson suffered an ankle injury and could miss some time.

Carmelo Anthony 23 points on 20 shots.
Amare Stoudemire not rebounding well at all, but at least he played 21 minutes.
Steve Novak 5 of 7 from three for 15 points.
J.R. Smith 9 of 17 for 20 points.
Tyson Chandler with a double-double, 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Pablo Prigioni had 9 assists.

Kevin Love still not shooting well, 4 of 13, but he had a double-double, 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Andrei Kirilenko 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks.
Alexey Shved has been a nice waiver wire grab, 7 of 13 for 17 points.
JJ Barea also with 17 points on 6 of 10 shooting.
Ricky Rubio missed the game with a sore back.

Ty Lawson was back in action, 23 minutes, 16 points.
Kenneth Faried had an off game, 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Kosta Koufos 4 steals and 2 blocks to go along with 16 points.
Andre Miller had 11 points and 10 assists and makes a nice daily play with Lawson hurting.
