Fantasy Basketball Daily Injury Report for Thursday, December 13

DeShawn Stevenson (ATL) – The Hawks rested Stevenson last night, no injury reported.  He won’t be playing any back to backs this season if the Hawks can help it.

Brook Lopez (BKN) – Missed Wednesday with a foot injury.  He should be good to go for Friday, but check it gametime just to be sure.

Kirk Hinrich (CHI) – Missed Wednesday with a knee injury.  Nate Robinson got the start.

Jae Crowder (DAL) – Missed Wednesday with the flu.

Malcolm Lee (MIN) – Suffered a hyperextended knee.  He’s not much of a fantasy asset and probably the most important thing you can take away from this is that Alexey Shved and JJ Barea could see more minutes.

Josh Howard (MIN) – Out Wednesday with the flu.

J.R. Smith (NYK) – Smith suffered a minor back injury in his last game and is likely a gametime decision tonight.

Royal Ivey (PHI) – Missed Wednesday with strep throat.  Not a big deal for fantasy owners with regard to Ivey, but keep an eye and make sure this doesn’t make it’s way through the locker room to other members of the Sixers.

Kyle Lowry (TOR) – Missed Wednesday with a triceps injury and could be sidelined for 10 days.  Jose Calderon got the start and makes a great short term waiver wire add.

Andrea Bargnani (TOR) – Torn elbow ligament, out 1-2 months.  Tough break for Bargs owners.  Ed Davis should move into the starting lineup and is a geat waiver wire pickup.

LeBron James (MIA) – Suffered a minor shoulder injury, so check his next gametime status just to be safe.

Dwyane Wade (MIA) – Took an elbow to the head, but there doesn’t seem to be any concussion injury.  He should be fine for his next game.

Brook Lopez (BKN) – Practiced Monday and is a gametime decision tonight.

Tyreke Evans (SAC) – Evans was out again with his lingering knee injury.  Francisco Garcia got the start at SG and had 25 points.  I’m not sure how long Evans is going to be out, but Garcia could be a nice short term pickup.

Nicolas Batum (POR) – Doubtful for Monday with a back injury.

Steve Nash (LAL) – It doesn’t appear that Nash is anywhere close to returning.  He won’t be on the upcoming Laker roadtrip.

James Harden (HOU) – Harden is dealing with ankle and toe injuries, but should be probable for tonight.

Goran Dragic (PHO) – Dragic was a surprise scratch last night with the flu, which really killed me in my Fanduel and DraftStreet daily cash games.  Several news sites reported around 7:00 pm EST that Dragic was going to play, but Sebastian Telfair got the start and Dragic never got on the court.

Pau Gasol (LAL) – Gasol has missed several games dealing with knee tendonitis, but could return Tuesday.

Brandon Jennings (MIL) – Suffered a minor ankle injury.  Not sure if it was a new injury or an aggravation of his recent ankle problem.

Jason Kidd (NYK) – Suffered a minor head injury, but should be good to go for his next game.

Carmelo Anthony (NYK) – Returned after missing a couple of games with a finger laceration.  He should be back in all lineups.

Amare Stoudemire (NYK) – Stoudemire is getting closer to a return.  He got in a lengthy workout yesterday and could be just a couple of weeks away from getting on the court.  You may want to toss a few trade offers out there and gamble a little on Stoudemire if you are falling deep in your leagues standings.

Rasheed Wallace (NYK) – Missed Sunday with a left foot injury.

Anthony Davis (NOR) – Davis could return this week, but I’d leave him on the bench for a few games to give him a chance to get the rust off.

Tyreke Evans (SAC) – Evans missed another game Saturday with a sore knee.  Francisco Garcia filled in for him.

Wesley Matthews (POR) – Suffered a hip flexor injury last night and is questionable for his next game on Monday.  He’s also been dealing with a sore thumb, so the Blazers could shut him down for a bit and let him heal up.

Carmelo Anthony (NYK) – Missed another game with his finger laceration.  The Knicks are obviously being cautious with him, but he should be a go in his return to Denver this week.

LeBron James (Miami) – LeBron had a minor groin injury last night, but played through it.  I doubt it will keep him out, but check it next gametime just to be safe.

Dwyane Wade (Miami) – Twisted an ankle in Saturday’s game, but played through it.  Check his next gametime status.

James Harden (HOU) – Harden rolled an ankle last night, but played through it.  He was already dealing with a toe injury.  He should be fine this week, but be sure and check it gametime before using him in daily transaction leagues.

Nicolas Batum (POR) – Batum tried to play through his back injury, but had to leave last night’s game and he didn’t return.  Risky play this week.

Kirk Hinrich (CHI) – Suffered an elbow injury Saturday, not sure of the severity.  Nate Robinson could get a start if Hinrich can’t go in his next game.

AJ Price (WAS) – Price fractured his hand in Saturday’s game and looks to be out for 4-6 weeks.   Shaun Livingston could be in line for big minutes, but he’s dealing with knee soreness right now.  Jordan Crawford could be forced into the starting PG role.

Anderson Varejao (CLE) – Varejao suffered a minor elbow injury which caused him to come out of the game, but trainers looked at it and he returned to finish with a solid line.  He should be ok, but check it gametime in daily leagues.

Kyrie Irving (CLE) – There are reports that Irving could be back as soon as Tuesday.  You can’t really start him this week, but daily leagues should keep an eye on Irving this week.

Shawn Marion (DAL) – Missed Saturday with a groin injury.
