Damn, I miss Monday Night Football already.  Jayson Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on Monday.  I guess the recent DUI finally gave the D.A. enough to twist Williams’ arm into doing his 18 months.   Wonder if they dropped the DUI in return for the guilty plea?  What a deal.   This is what happens when you play with guns, Gilbert.

  • All-Star weekend is February 12-14 and the NBA trading deadline is set for February 18.  Regular season ends April 14.
  • Mike Miller re-aggravated his calf injury.  Nick Young took his place and should get the next start if Miller can’t go.
  • Rodney Stuckey, Ben Gordon and Tayshaun Prince all practiced on Sunday and should be good for Monday.  Check their gametime status just to make sure.
  • Ron Artest is still hurting.  He reportedly asked out of the Milwaukee game twice.  Keep him benched until he gets healthy.
  • Steve Blake returned from pneumonia, but only played 7 minutes.  Keep an eye on the Blake/Miller timeshare.
  • New Orleans traded Hilton Armstrong to Sacramento.
  • Carmelo Anthony should play Monday.  Ty Lawson is still questionable, but probably wasn’t going to play that much now that Chauncey Billups is back.
  • Micheal Redd re-injured his left knee and will miss the rest of the season.  Speculation is that he tore the ACL and MCL.   If true, I could see his career being over.   Carlos Delfino and Charlie Bell should absorb the minutes.
  • Eduardo Najera has been traded back to Dallas.
  • Ronnie Price is out tonight for Utah.
  • Chris Wilcox has moved into the starting lineup for Detroit, replacing Jason MaxiellJonas Jerebko should be angry one here.  He did a great job filling in for Tayshaun Prince and now he just gets tossed to the end of the bench.
  • Allen Iverson is a gametime decision Monday.  Keep him benched.
  • Monta Ellis is dealing with a cold, be careful starting him tonight.
  • David Lee may miss a game this week due to a very sick grandmother.  Be careful starting him in daily cash games.
