Fantasy Basketball Daily News (12/11/09)

Only three games on Thursday, but a full schedule tonight with 11 games.   I’ve got a Christmas party tonight, so the news is probably going to be late, like really late (if at all) tommorrow.

  • Daily Fantasy Recap from DamnLiesandStatistics.com.
  • Week 8 Fantasy Schedule Planner from LestersLegends.com.
  • Daily Fantasy Recap from HardwoodParoxysm.com.
  • Daily Fantasy Recap from GiveMeTheRock.com.
  • Will Bynum missed Thursday with a pair of injured ankles.
  • Kenyon Martin missed Thursday with a dislocated finger.
  • Is Jonas Jerebko really Tayshaun Prince in disguise?  Their stats are very similar, but Prince makes $9.5 million more.
  • Wes Matthews may not have the starting job much longer if C.J. Miles continues to put up good numbers.  Matthews is a better defender, but Miles has the better offensive game.
  • Andrei Kirilenko missed his fourth game on Thursday due to back pain.
  • Ray Allen got his 20,000th point last night.
  • Keep an eye on Tony Allen.  He got some game action in place of the injured Marquis Daniels and he could be a good pickup if there are other Celtic injuries.
  • Ex-Laker, Kurt Rambis, will face off against his old team and Phil Jackson on Friday.
  • Toney Douglas continues to get minutes while Nate Robinson rides the pine.
  • Quentin Richardson will be a gametime decision on Friday with a sore right hamstring.  Dorell Wright should get some extra action.
  • Be careful starting Josh Howard.  He will sit out either Friday or Saturday.  I’ve seen reports that he is playing Friday and sitting Saturday, but it isn’t certain.
  • Somehow Tracy McGrady is on pace to make the All-Star Game.   If McGrady makes it, he should man up and withdraw and allow a more deserving player to take his place (or at least one who actually sets foot on the court).  The votes of casual fans shouldn’t be worth as much as hardcore basketball fans.  I’m guessing that most of McGrady’s votes are from people who don’t even watch basketball, they just recognize the name.  Wouldn’t surprise me at all if most of those voters had no clue that he wasn’t even playing this year.
