Fantasy Basketball Daily News and Notes (11/10/10)

Daily Cash Games – I had a feeling it was going to be a bad night with all the poor matchups and it fact it was, 0-4-1 on Fanduel.com and 2-3 on FantasySportsLive.com.   At least I had enough sense to only play 10 games total, but I probably should have had more discipline and skipped last night altogether.  I’ve got a handful of $25 games going tonight, so hopefully things will get back on track.

Gary Forbes (DEN) – This game was a blowout, but Forbes got some run and looked pretty decent putting up 16 points in 21 minutes.  Keep an eye on him.

Mike Dunleavy (IND) – A 31 point explosion from Dunleavy.  I have no idea where this came from, but if you need points in a deep league, he’s worth an add even with Brandon Rush coming back from a suspension.

Brandon Rush – Played his first game after serving a 5 game suspension and looked pretty good.  30 minutes, 16pts/7reb.   He should end up in a timeshare with Mike Dunleavy.

Antawn Jamison (CLE) – He made it back after missing a few games with knee problems.  He was average, but more importantly he hurt the fantasy value of J. J. Hickson.  A trade would help Jamison and Hickson’s value.

Travis Outlaw (NJN) – Outlaw was forced into big minutes Tuesday with Terrence Williams out and he had a nice game with 27pts/7reb.   If he has a couple more, it could be your chance to sell high.

Derrick Favors (NJN) – Only 16 minutes, but 6pts/7reb.  Had New Jersey known he could play like this, they probably wouldn’t have signed Troy Murphy.  I’d look for a Murphy trade sometime in January.

Paul Millsap (UTA) – Huge career high game out of Millsap last night, 46pts/9reb against a tough Miami defense.  He’s shooting at nearly a 63% clip, so just be aware that he’s running really hot right now.

Jerryd Bayless (NOR) – Bayless saw his first extended action with New Orleans and impressed with 15pts/9ast in 19 minutes.

Al-Farouq Aminu (LAC) – Aminu got 30 minutes of action Tuesday, putting up 20pts/8reb.  Grab him if you are in a keeper league.

Baron Davis (LAC) – Davis came off the bench for 10 minutes last night, so at least he’s getting close to returning.  Keep him benched for now.

Willie Green (NOR) – Green got a little garbage time reward, 19 points in 25 minutes.  Marcus Thornton never made it off the bench, DNP-CD.

Danilo Gallinari (NYK) – He’s turned into a horribly inconsistent shooter.  1-6 Tuesday.  Might be time to bench him for a few games until he gets things straightened out.

Anthony Randolph (NYK) – I’ve been preaching patience with Anthony Randolph and he rewarded me Tuesday with 28 minutes of action, 8pts/9reb/2stl/2blk.   His role should keep expanding as he gets with the D’Antoni system.

Drew Gooden (MIL) – Gooden finally showed up to play, 27 minutes, 17pts/8reb.

Brandon Roy (POR) – He seems to be hurting, only 21 minutes of action Tuesday.  Might be a good idea to bench him for a game just to see what develops.

LaMarcus Aldridge (POR) – Good game from Aldridge, 19pts/17reb.

Kevin Love (MIN) – Rambis finally let Love play more than 27 minutes and he put up 23pts/24reb against a tough Laker team.  See what happens when you give your best player big minutes?  You actually have a chance to win games.

Kobe Bryant (LAL) – The Timberwolves made Kobe do a little work, 33 points in 35 minutes.
