News and Notes from Thursday’s Fantasy NBA Action:

Dwyane Wade (MIA) – Wade didn’t look like he was affected at all by his recent migraine problem, 34pts/16reb/5ast.  Keep him active.

Landry Fields (NYK) – Incredible game from Fields last night against the Heat, 19pts/13reb/6ast.

Wilson Chandler (NYK) – Couldn’t get it going, 3 of 14 for just 7 points.

Kyle Lowery/Aaron Brooks (HOU) – I’ve been saying this for awhile, but the Rockets really need to make one of these guys the clear starter because the timeshare just isn’t working.  Lowery and Brooks combined to shoot 4 0f 20 last night for 15 points.  Neither guy seems to be able to get into a comfortable rhythm with the uncertain minutes.

Kevin Martin (HOU) – Got back on track last night with 30 points after only putting up 8 points on Wednesday.  He shot 7 of 15 from the field and 11 0f 12 from the line.

Tyson Chandler (DAL) – Big line from Chandler, 21pts/15reb.

J.J. Barea (DAL) – He’s getting close to being worthy of a pickup, 19 points on 8 of 10 shooting in 24 minutes of run.  It’s clear that Kidd is slowing down and the Mavs could rest him more in the second half of the season which would open up more minutes for Barea.

Kevin Garnett (BOS) – Almost picked up a triple-double against the Blazers, 10pts/9reb/9ast.  The 9 assists were a nice bonus for fantasy owners.

Kendrick Perkins (BOS) – Got 21 minutes Thursday and nearly put up his first double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds.   He’s a great add with Shaq and Jermaine both hurting.

Paul Pierce (BOS) – He’s really banged up right now.   He was already dealing with a nagging ankle injury and last night he added a thigh injury.

LaMarcus Aldridge (POR) – Played a huge 44 minutes through a sore hip and put up a nice line against a tough defense, 17pts/16reb/2stl/1blk.

Nicolas Batum (POR) – Another injury for the Blazers.  Batum left last night’s game with a knee injury with an MRI to come.  Rudy Fernandez would be a great pickup if Batum’s injury is serious.

O.J. Mayo (MEM) – Suspended 10 games for performance enhancing drugs.  Mayo should probably track down the guy he got them from and ask for his money back.
