Sunday’s NBA Schedule, Probable Starting Lineups, Lines, Injuries and Fantasy Tournament Picks

LA Lakers (-5.5)  @ Toronto    175.5 Total
LAL:  D. Fisher, K. Bryant, M. Peace, P. Gasol, A. Bynum
TOR:  J. Calderon,  D. DeRozan, J. Johnson, A. Johnson, A. Gray

  • Jerryd Bayless is questionable, but probably won’t play.
  • The Raptors are back to starting Jose Calderon and DeMar DeRozan in the backcourt with Bayless out.  Leandro Barbosa should be the first guard off the bench.
  • Linas Kleiza has been having some big games, but the inconsistency in his game is making him impossible to play in daily fantasy leagues.
  • Steve Blake has returned and is really taking minutes from a tired Derek Fisher.
  • Look for Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum to have big games against a weak Toronto interior.
  • Daily Fantasy Cash Game Value Pick:  Andrew Bynum

Chicago (-3)  @ Boston    173.5 Total
CHI:  CJ Watson, R. Brewer, L. Deng, C. Boozer, J. Noah
BOS:  R. Rondo, R. Allen, P. Pierce, K. Garnett, C. Wilcox

  • Derrick Rose is out.  CJ Watson will get the start.
  • Jermaine O’Neal picked up an DNP in his last game with a sore shoulder and is out Sunday.
  • Brandon Bass is out.  Chris Wilcox will get the start at center.
  • Rajon Rondo is only averaging 8.2 points per game since returning from his wrist injury.  The lingering injury could still  be affecting his shooting.
  • The 173.5 total points to this being a very low scoring game, so don’t look for any huge fantasy lines today.
  • Daily Fantasy Cash Game Sleeper Pick:   CJ Watson if Derrick Rose is out, Brandon Bass

Washington @ Detroit (-6)   192.5 Total
WAS:  J. Wall, N. Young, C. Singleton, T. Booker, J. McGee
DET:  B. Knight, R. Stuckey, T. Prince, G. Monroe, J. Maxiell

  • Brandon Knight only got 17 minutes Friday night and could be a risky play.  He might be having some difficulty playing with the mask for his broken nose.
  • Ben Gordon has returned and could cut into the minutes of both Rodney Stuckey and Brandon Knight.
  • Greg Monroe could put up a big line against New Jersey’s weak interior.
  • Rashard Lewis has missed his last three games with a sore knee.  Chris Singleton got the last start and did absolutely nothing with it in 17 minutes.   Avoid him today.
  • Trevor Booker had a big game Friday posting 13pt/15reb/4stl and makes a great daily play at a cheap salary.
  • I like Jordan Crawford as a pickup in keeper leagues, but his 36.7 FG% is really a killer.   He really needs to improve his shot to be a good fantasy play.   Luckily for Crawford, Nick Young hasn’t been much better this year at 40.7%
  • Daily Fantasy Cash Game Sleeper Pick:   Trevor Booker

Miami (-4) @ Atlanta    190.5 Total
MIA:  M. Chalmers, D. Wade, L. James, C. Bosh, J. Anthony
ATL:  J. Teague, J. Johnson, M. Williams, J. Smith, Z. Pachulia

  • Marion Chalmers returned Friday after missing a game with a finger injury.  He only took 3 shots, so don’t look for much more today as his finger continues to heal.
  • LeBron James could post a huge line against Marvin Williams.
  • Daily Fantasy Cash Game Value Pick:    Josh Smith

Houston @ Golden State (-2)   205 Total
HOU:   K. Lowry, K. Martin, C. Parsons, L. Scola, S. Dalembert
GSW:  S. Curry, M. Ellis, D. Wright, D. Lee, A. Biedrins

  • Kevin Martin has been in a huge slump which could be caused by his plantar fasciitis.  Bench him for now and keep an eye on Courtney Lee if you need extra threes.
  • Kyle Lowry bounced back from his elbow injury and he’s had three days to heal up.  Check his gametime status just to be safe.
  • Samuel Dalembert has really fallen off lately and should be avoided in daily cash games.
  • Chase Budinger is clearly the better player and fantasy option over Chandler Parsons.
  • Look for David Lee to have a nice game and a pile of rebounds against Luis Scola.
  • Daily Fantasy Cash Game Value Pick:   Stephen Curry

Utah @ Memphis (-6)    188 Total
UTA:  D. Harris, R. Bell, G. Hayward, P. Millsap, A. Jefferson
MEM:  M. Conley, (OJ Mayo/T. Allen), R. Gay, M. Speights, M. Gasol

  • Tony Allen returned from an injury Friday and got 23 minutes of court time.  He came off the bench with Quincy Pondexter starting, but he should move back into the starting lineup today.
  • Zach Randolph is on schedule with his rehab from and torn MCL, so check the waiver wire to see if he’s floating around out there.
  • Devin Harris is finally showing some signs of life and might be worth a speculative add if you have a vacant bench spot.  He’s better than what he’s shown so far.
  • Paul Millsap could have a nice line against Marreese Speights.
  • Daily Fantasy Cash Game Value Picks:   Rudy Gay, Paul Millsap
