Fantasy Basketball Daily Pre-Game Report for Sunday, January 22

Daily Rosters lock early at 1:00 PM EST today, so don’t forget.  News is sketchy this morning, but I’m posting what I’ve got prior to the 1:00 PM tipoff.  If you are going to play daily cash games, I’d probably avoid the 1:00 PM games and focus on the smaller schedule tonight.

I’ll post updates for tonight’s games in the Twitter Feed on the right side of the Homepage.

Fanduel has Daily Fantasy Football Cash Games and Tournaments up today.  It’s the last weekend for their fantasy football games.

Boston (-4.5) @ Washington    185.5 Total
BOS:  A. Bradley, R. Allen, P. Pierce, K. Garnett, J. O’Neal
WAS:  J. Wall, N. Young, C. Singleton, A. Blatche, J. McGee

  • No word yet on Rajon Rondo, he made the trip, but there’s no guarantee he’ll play.  I’d assume he’s not going to play and Avery Bradley will get another start.
  • Jermaine O’Neal is dealing with a wrist injury, but should play.
  • John Wall could have a big line against the inexperienced Avery Bradley.
  • Keyon Dooling is doubtful.

Toronto @ LA Clippers (-9.5)   184.5 Total
TOR:  J. Calderon, D. DeRozan, (R. Butler/J. Johnson), E. Davis, A. Johnson
LAC:  C. Billups, R. Foye, C. Butler, B. Griffin, D. Jordan

  • Chris Paul is a gametime decision, however even if he does play, his minutes will be limited.  The 9.5 point line suggests that Paul will play but it’s probably best to just avoid him today and see what he does in his first game back.
  • Chauncey Billups and Randy Foye will start in the backcourt if Paul can’t go.
  • Andrea Bargnani is a gametime decision.  Ed Davis will get the start if Bargnani can’t go.
  • Caron Butler is still suffering from an knee injury and could miss Sunday.  Ryan Gomes could get the start.

Charlotte @ New Jersey (-5)   193 Total
CHA:  DJ Augustin, K. Walker, G. Henderson, T. Thomas, B. Mullens
NJN:  D. Williams, (D. Stevenson/A. Morrow), M. Brooks, K. Humphries, M. Okur

  • Damion James is going to be out for an extended amount of time after surgery to replace a  screw in his foot.  MarShon Brooks will continue to get big minutes at SF while James is out.
  • Kris Humphries will probably put up one of his double-double lines against Tyrus Thomas.
  • Deron Williams suffered some kind of injury to his side on Saturday night, but I haven’t seen an update on it and whether it will cause him to miss any time.

Milwaukee @ Miami (-9)   194.5   Total
MIL:  B. Jennings, S. Jackson, C. Delfino, J. Leuer,  A. Bogut
MIA:  (N. Cole/M. Chalmers), S. Battier, L. James, C. Bosh, J. Anthony

  • Dwyane Wade will probably miss Sunday’s game.  James Jones or Shane Battier should get the start.
  • Andrew Bogut could put up a nice line against Joel Anthony.
  • Chris Bosh could put up a nice line against the weak PFs of the Bucks.
  • Stephen Jackson was suspended for his last game and he’s not getting along with Scott Skiles, so who knows what kind of run he’s going to get today.  Avoid him.

Indiana @ LA Lakers (-5.5)   179 Total
IND:  D. Collison, P. George, D. Granger, D. West, R. Hibbert
LAL:  D. Fisher, K. Bryant, M. Barnes, P. Gasol, A. Bynum

  • Paul George could contain Kobe Sunday and hold him under 25 points.
  • David West suffered some kind of neck injury in his last game, so check his gametime status before rolling with him.
  • Steve Blake is out, Derek Fisher is still seeing big minutes.
  • The Roy Hibbert/Andrew Bynum matchup is fairly even and both guys could put up mediocre lines.
  • The total on this game is 179, which is pretty low.  Don’t expect many big fantasy lines in this one.
