Fantasy Basketball News 9/8/09

Hope you guys all had a good long weekend.  Not alot happening around the NBA over the last few days, which is good as it gives me a chance to get my early preseason rankings together.  Here are the few fantasy relevant notes from the weekend:

Francisco Garcia broke his finger while playing for the Dominican Republic in the FIBA Americas Championship.  The same article also states that Beno Udrih had an MRI on his injured knee which was negative.  It looks like Udrih escaped injury and should be ready for camp on September 29.

Third Quarter Collapse with a good article on Jameer Nelson and how he fits into the Magic system.

Sactown Royalty with an article on new head coach Paul Westphal and what to expect from him this season in Sacramento.

Hornets 24/7 takes an early look at the rotation in New Orleans and estimates how many minutes per game each player on the roster will get this season.

Pounding the Rock with a detailed look at new San Antonio Spur rookie DeJuan Blair.

Jay-Z is releasing his latest, ‘The Blueprint 3’ on September 11 (some rumors have it coming today).  An early track by track review wasn’t very kind.  I’ve seen several other negative reviews, but I’ll withhold judgment until I hear it all for myself.  I’ve only heard D.O.A. (good) and Run This Town (not so good).  I’m looking forward to hearing the whole CD.

Eurobasket ’09 has started and you can keep up with all the coverage and player reports at ThePainted Area.
