NBA Signings, Rumors and News 9/1/09

Indy Cornrows speculates that Marquis Daniels is about to sign with Boston.  This has been an ongoing story for weeks so we’ll see if it comes true this time.  If so, it should kill any fantasy value he might have had this season.  It also hurts Tony Allen’s value .

The TWolvesBlog.com has all the latest Ricky Rubio speculation you can handle.  I can’t wait until he signs oversees so we can all be done with it.  Too much hype and not enough substance.

C.J.Watson will be in Golden State for one more year.  Watson is expected to sign a qualifying offer for just over a million.  This will enable him to become an unrestricted free agent next season.  Golden State had offered a 3 year $5.6 million deal.  Roll those dice C.J.  He shouldn’t get enough time this season to increase his fantasy, or real life, value.  Management will likely make sure of the that.

The Lakers Nation reports that team trainer, Gary Vitti, has examined Pau Gasol’s finger and has cleared him to resume playing.   Good to see that the injury isn’t chronic like Kobe’s finger problem and therefore won’t be a lingering concern to his fantasy owners.

Kind of basketball related (news has been just a little slow), but a pretty fun read:  The numbers game from DallasBasketball.com.  Assign a player to every jersey number from 0-99.
