Sunday Fantasy Notes 9/13/09

NFL season is finally here and I’m heading for the couch for an afternoon of betting action.  Hey, we got to have something to pass the time until the NBA action starts.  My Crimson Tide won last night 40-14 over Florida International, but they were really flat.  Too bad USC made that comeback, we could have moved up to #3 in the rankings.

Raptors Republic takes a look at the shooting guard competition in TorontoAntoine Wright, DeMar DeRozan, Jarrett Jack and Marco Belinelli all looking to get minutes.  Wright is the defender, Belinelli is the 3PT threat and DeRozan is pure offense.  I’d like to see Jack get the spot, but that would leave Calderon on the court much too long.

Stan Van Gundy on Jameer Nelson’s shoulder injury:  “Van Gundy said Nelson has been working out at RDV Sportsplex for the last two weeks and is looking “great.”

Another reason to love Dwight Howard.

Excellent article from FourPointPlay.com on Luol Deng and what we can expect from him fantasywise in 2009.

Celticsblog.com takes a look at the back up point guard competition in BostonMike Taylor could be a nice sleeper here.

Hoopsworld.com with a pile of questions and issues surrounding rotations in the Pacific West.

Hoopsworld.com also has questions about rotations in the Northwest Division that will be important to fantasy owners.

Management got just what they wanted with Iverson.  It really is all about the money in Memphis isn’t it?
