Fantasy Basketball Small Forward Training Camp Questions (9/27/10)

I’ve already covered the point guard questions and shooting guard questions, so now it’s time to move to the small forward position. Camps get going this week so hopefully we’ll start to get answers soon.
Kevin Durant – How can you not pick him number one overall? Will he show any fatigue from the FIBA World Championships? Will the Thunder rest him for the preseason?
LeBron James – What will his role be and will he get to play some point guard in this system? Who’s scoring gets cut, Wade or James? Can he handle the pressure when the inevitable boobirds come out in every road game?
Carmelo Anthony – Where do I start on Melo? Does he get his trade wish and if he stays in Denver will he just mail it in this season?
Danny Granger – Will he ever cut back on the three pointers and can your fantasy team survive his horrible FG%? Everyone makes fun of Dwight Howard’s FT%, but Granger’s FG% can hurt you just as badly.
Gerald Wallace – Can Crash stay healthy and will his minutes decrease from last season’s career high 41 minutes a night? Can he repeat the career high 10.0 rebounds per game playing full time beside Tyrus Thomas?
Andre Iguodala – Will he be able to return to making plays with his athleticism now that the shackles of the Princeton system are gone? What kind of role will Doug Collins give him? Will he play any SG if Evan Turner can’t handle the position?
Rudy Gay – Can he finally make a leap forward with his fantasy stats now that he has the big contract? Has he already reached his ceiling?
Paul Pierce – How much rest will the Celtics give him and will he end up with less minutes per game than his 2009 career low of 34.0 MPG? Is his age causing the 2009 career low in rebounds and will that continue this year?
Luol Deng – Is this the year that Deng finally gets some respect? How many threes will Thibodeau let him shoot this season?
Danilo Gallinari – Will he play some shooting guard at 6’10? Will he lead the league in three points attempted and made in 2010? Can he continue to develop his solid passing skills?
Hedo Turkoglu – Will he finally be happy and ready to put some effort into playing basketball again? Will he actually get to play any point forward with Steve Nash still going strong? Will Turkoglu play PF or SF?
Caron Butler – How will Butler split his time between SF and SG? Will his stats continue to decline like they did last season upon his arrival in Dallas? Will the Mavericks ask him to contribute more on defense than on offense?
Trevor Ariza – How will the change of scenery affect Ariza’s fantasy stats and what will his role be in New Orleans? Will he be more efficient as a third or fourth option getting setup by Chris Paul? Will he continue to bring the defensive effort? How many minutes will Peja Stojakovic steal from him?
Corey Maggette – How is he healing from offseason ankle surgery? How big a decrease in stats will he see moving from the fast pace of Golden State to the plodding pace of Milwaukee? How many minutes will he lose to Carlos Delfino because of his horrible defense?
Andrei Kirilenko – How many minutes will he see this year and what will his role be? Can we count on him anymore for blocks and steals or is that gone forever? Will he get traded at some point this season?
Tayshaun Prince – Will he survive the whole season in Detroit? How many minutes will he lose to Jonas Jerebko?
Shawn Marion – Will he be more productive if the Mavs choose to move him to small forward? Will his offensive output continue to decline?
Grant Hill – When does age finally catch up with Hill? How will the arrival of Hedo Turkoglu affect Hill’s role on the team?
Richard Jefferson – Can he get any worse? Will the Spurs ask him to start contributing more on offense? Will he get more than his 2009 career low of 31.1 MPG this year?
Marvin Williams – Will he do anything other than be a borderline serviceable small forward?
Ron Artest – Will Matt Barnes eat away at Ron’s minutes? Will he stay focused on basketball now that he is starting to live the LA Rockstar lifestyle to the fullest?
Wilson Chandler – Where does he fit with the Knicks and is he trade bait at some point this season? Will his offseason legal troubles cost him any time on the court or in court?
Thaddeus Young – Will he play SF or PF? How many minutes will he get and what role does Doug Collins have planned for him? Has he matured any?
Travis Outlaw – Why in the world did New Jersey offer him a 5 year, $35 million contract? Can he even crack the starting lineup or is he a sixth man?
Wesley Johnson – Will he see any minutes at SF and will the hamstring heal quickly enough for him to get in sufficient training camp work in order to be ready for the regular season?
Tracy McGrady – Is there anything left in the tank and what kind of role will he have in Detroit? How long before he starts complaining about not getting enough playing time?
Al Thornton – Can he get the starting SF job for Washington and can he hold it once Josh Howard returns from injury?
Linas Kleiza – Can he get the starting SF job in Toronto? Will he lead the team in three pointers?
Nicolas Batum – Is this the year he finally breaks out?
Ryan Gomes – Can he win the starting job for the Clippers? If things don’t go well for LA, will they instead choose to throw Al-Farouq Aminu into the fire and give him the starting SF job for the rest of the season?
Mikael Pietrus/Quentin Richardson – How will these two split the starting SF minutes in Orlando?
Jamario Moon/Jawad Williams – Who gets the starting job in Cleveland and will either of them be worth anything?
Shane Battier/Chase Budinger – How will the defensive minded Battier and the offensive minded Budinger split minutes in Houston?
